Newbury Inn Brookfield, Brookfield

The hotel is situated conveniently for a stopover, close to the Elephant Trunk Flea Market, offering a queen-size mattress on a budget. The location is outside of Connecticut, and the surrounding light outside my room attracted numerous bugs all night. Although the rooms were clean and comfortable, there was a vent in the bathroom falling down from the ceiling, which made it challenging to sleep.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. While the rooms needed a lot of repair and updating, I found them surprisingly clean and quiet despite being directly adjacent to the office. The service was so very helpful before and during our stay, although there was a mix-up about the amenities compared to cheaper rooms. The location was perfect for attending the Elephant Trunk Flea Market but the outside light attracting bugs was a bit bothersome. The dining experience, although limited, was okay for the price. The facilities were decent but could use some improvement.

When we arrived, the room was cold as the heating wasn't turned on until guests checked in, yet it had all the conveniences we needed for our kids aged 6, 5, 3, and 2. The hotel may not have been used in a while, but it was comfortable for our family.

The hotel was conveniently located between home and Croton-on-Hudson, making it suitable for our needs but lacking the promised breakfast convenience. The service was incredibly disappointing as the staff showed unbelievable rudeness and unhelpfulness. The dining experience was basic and not very inviting.

The hotel had clean and quiet rooms with a falling vent in the bathroom. It was a little pricey for the location but had a fridge with a freezer compartment. The service was a mix of awesome and friendly with some unaccommodating aspects. The location, although fine, was not close to much and had issues with bugs attracted by outdoor lights. The dining options were limited but acceptable for the price paid.
